Experiential education is multi-sensory. It engages participants and provides opportunities and success for individuals with different learning styles. Auditory, visual and tactile-kinesthetic stimuli focus participants attention so greater meaning and information can be absorbed. The activities foster the enjoyment, growth and success of all participants by accommodating different learning styles and combinations of styles. Experiential learning is facilitated when:
(1) the participants completely in the learning process and has control over its nature and direction,
(2) it is primarily based upon direct confrontation with practical, social, personal or research problems, and
(3) self-evaluation is the principal method of assessing progress or success.
